Does your light transfer paper leave a grey background?
TTC is the TheMagicTouch transfer paper used to decorate white and light textiles. If the image is trimmed very close before pressing, the background will be very minimal.

Can you explain how the WoW works? / How do you get the white from WoW?
- Design a mirrored image in Coral Draw or PhotoShop and print 2 versions:
- a mask (black and white) on plain laser paper
- a graphic on the iSheet (one of two WoW papers provided)
- The mask is heat pressed to the mSheet (second of two WoW papers provided) to weed out background from opaque white under base.
- Msheet (white) is lined up and heat pressed to graphic on the iSheet
- iSheet, now covered with white, is pressed to a dark substrate

Is this sublimation? / How is TheMagicTouch different from sublimation?
Sublimation and TheMagicTouch are two different processes with similar applications, i.e. textile and hard surface decoration. Sublimation uses ink and TMT uses toner.

Do I need special software? / Can I use something besides Coral Draw and Photoshop?
Coral Draw and Photoshop are well suited to work with TheMagicTouch process. Although we do not offer graphic support, we do have a familiarity with these applications and will help you with very basic functions. Other graphic packages also work well but we cannot offer any support.

What's the difference between CPM 6.2 and 6.4?
CPM 6.2 is the best product selection for OKI printers and many others. CPM 6.4 is basically the same as 6.2 but a little lighter and is a better option for some printers and environments. TMT tests many printers and can recommend the correct paper. Call 1-888-349-2378 for assistance.

Can I use a pad I already have or do I have to buy yours (WoW or APAD)?
TMT recommends specific pads to use with specific papers and substrates. TheMagicTouch papers applied with the correct pad will result in success. Our product line includes three pads.
- WoW Pad , also called a Soft Pad is essential for the WoW/OBM dark textile process. A free WoW pad comes with your first order of WoW or WoW sample pack. A soft pad is also used with some CPM applications, e.g., leather, ceramic tile and glass. In addition, a soft pad is utilized with TTC to decorate unfinished wood products.
- Sponge/Foam Pad - essential for the ORD process. Two sponge pads come free with every box of ORD. Also used with some CPM applications.
- Application Pad ,a.k.a. APAD, is a heavy silicone material essential for success with CPM on metal, acrylic, plastic, magnets and more.

I already have a heat press. Why would I need a new one?
There are many excellent heat presses on the market for a wide range of uses in different price ranges. Your heat press may work perfectly for your current needs. TMT paper, however, needs a heat press that will maintain a specific temperature for the duration of the press. We have tested many presses and have found the Insta heat press to be a great complement to the TMT process and therefore have identified it as our standard.

Can I use sublimation overstock with your paper if I switch?
Hard surface blanks coated with polyester will not work with TMT, e.g., metal. However, poly-blend textile substrates will work because TMT works with 100% cotton and/or blends.

What if I don't use the proper printer settings?
Printer settings are designed to accommodate different paper and environments. Failure to adhere to the recommended settings will most likely result in an unsatisfactory outcome and possible damage to your printer.

Why does my print look different from the screen picture?
Monitors are not always calibrated to display accurate color. Also, each printer represents colors in a unique way. The only way to ensure accurate color is to use a color calibrated monitor and the color profiles provided by TMT for our supported printer.

Why do I keep getting lines on the print?
It is important to let TMT paper exit from the rear exit tray. What you might be seeing are roller marks applying pressure to the paper as the coating is still hot, forcing it to exit out of the top of the printer. Also, proper print settings are a must to ensure the best quality print from your TMT enhanced printer.

Why do I get white spots on the WoW shirt?
White spots on the print area decorated with WoW usually indicate that there was not enough pressure during the transfer. Increase pressure and ensure the heat can stay constant for the full duration of the transfer.
